The project consists of an addition, a partial tear down of the existing house, and a renovation of three original rooms remaining after the tear down. The design of the house, from the necessity of increasing its size to using the existing foundation as a partial footprint, created a framework from which to work. The resulting simple, dramatic spaces are filled with a balanced light generated from both direct and mysterious light sources.
